Kids

Care for our tiniest members through age appropriate activities and a simple Bible story.

Serve Opportunity: Sunday or Wednesday

Interact with a smaller group of kids in discussion, activities, crafts, and bible verses to help God’s Word sink deep into their hearts and minds.

Bus Ministry

The bus captain leads the bus route. They visit with the riders each week and encourage them to ride. The captain is on the frontlines of ministering to the needs of the families on that route and speaking life into those homes on a weekly basis. The captain informs the driver of what stops to make and has a program to engage the kids on the bus.

Serve Opportunity: Sunday and one week night

The driver is responsible for the inspection of the bus before starting the route. He/she is a CDL holder (This can be obtained through MTN City). They drive to all stops that the captain instructs and are responsible for the safe transportation of all riders to and from the church.

The secretary on the bus is in charge of record keeping. This includes weekly attendance as well as other promotions and campaigns throughout the year. They help kids with memory verses and encourage riders through conversations on the bus. If there are any promotional items for the kids to take home, it is the secretary who passes this information out.

The runner is responsible for going to the door and letting riders know that the bus has arrived. They also assist riders by helping them on and off the bus as needed. They too are encouraging riders through conversations on the bus.

Youth

Help students feel welcome through greeting, checking students in, and giving new families tours of the student space.

The small group helper comes alongside a small group leader to help facilitate discussion. Also, the small group helper engages in conversation with students to build connections between students and leaders.

The small group leader pours their life into a group of students to help students follow Jesus and grow in their faith. The small group leader leads group discussion, is comfortable teaching their small group, and is intentional with students outside of specific ministry nights.

The events team helps to plan and execute ministry events. They help with set up and tear down as well as any prep work that needs to be done to ensure the environment is irresistible for students.

Young Adults:
The Gathering

Help create an irresistible environment for young adults by greeting them, helping them check-in, and following up with guests.

Help create an irresistible environment for young adults by setting up the room for Thursday night gatherings and coordinating food.

Guest Focused Teams

First Impressions

Create a warm, welcoming environment for guests by offering a sincere greeting and acknowledging each guest as they arrive.

Serve Opportunity: Sunday or Wednesday

Welcome each guest as they arrive, initiating conversation to get to know our guest, be knowledgeable about various ministries and events happening to answer any questions guest may have, personally escorting guest to locations they are looking for, introducing them to someone who can continue the personal connection to help this large church feel small.

Help every kid and family be seen and welcomed through hosting, greeting, and registering families, personally escorting families to their kids’ locations, giving brief explanation of kid’s ministry schedule and making sure parents know where pick up is and how it works, escorting parents to a community group or auditorium for 11am service.

Brew and serve coffee, then engage and welcome guests in a more intentional way as they get their coffee.

Sunday Service Teams

Community Groups

The teacher communicates God’s word in a compelling and understandable way during Community Group. This person will most likely have the spiritual gift of “teaching” and spends time preparing a message prior to Community Group.

The hospitality team helps create a welcoming and friendly environment so people can more easily connect. Those on the hospitality team help with check-in, food, room set-up, and reset.

The Table/Group Leader helps people connect relationally with one another. They do this through facilitating conversation and discussion at the table as well as getting to know people at their table on a deeper level.

The connection team works to help people in the community group to get and stay connected. This team follows up with new people to ensure they are connected and help with next steps. At the same time, this team helps plan on-going connections like activities to help the group stay connected outside of Sunday mornings. Finally, this team cares for those who may be struggling in a difficult time such as sickness or recovery, the loss of a loved one, etc. They keep in contact with members to see how we can minister (i.e.- meal train, flowers, child care).

Worship

Prepares and learns songs which were selected and the essential parts to ensure the songs are played to their best.

Aids in each song with singing a melody or harmony based on what the vocal director has specified while helping lead the congregation in worship with your engaging expression.

Sets up our beverage/snack table and then prepares tea, hot water and honey, or whatever the drink of choice is for the vocalists, instrumentalists, technicians, and engineer volunteers in the auditorium. Then after service, puts things away and cleans up.

Response Team

The altar workers assist individuals at the altar during invitation time. When people come down during invitation time, this team is ready to make a difference and assist however needed

Production Team

Ensures mics and in ear packs have batteries and are ready for each service. Mix and balance auditorium audio levels by using and understanding the sound board as your instrument to provide the best worship experience for the congregation.

Assists FOH Sound Engineer in ensuring mics and in ear packs have batteries and are ready for each service. Assist in mixing and balancing auditorium audio levels. Assist in using and understanding the sound board as your instrument to provide the best worship experience for the congregation.

Adjusts audio levels for the in-ear packs of each team member by using and understanding the monitor board as your instrument to provide the best worship experience for the team so that they may lead confidently.

Uses and understands the Light board to create a worshipful experience using lighting as instrument during worship and preaching by setting/adjusting cues for the specific services.

Builds and prepares the song sets in Pro Presenter to allow the congregation the ability to know the words of the songs.

Sets up the platform according to the specific message being preached, positions podium table and water out on the platform for the speaker. Ensures the MC has handheld microphone and main speaker has wireless microphone turned on. Helps set up and tear down for worship team events scheduled throughout the year.

Provides direction according to the service run sheet, calling out cues to all production serving roles ensuring everything is properly executed to produce a creative, engaging worship service that is audibly and visually pleasing to our congregation attending the service.

Broadcast Team

Directly responsible for operation of the video switcher during all elements of the worship service based on where the Technical Director guides in order to provide the best visually pleasing experience for our television and online community.

Facilitates all the external audio mixing designed for television and streaming during the worship service based on the guidance of the Technical Director in order to provide the best audibly pleasing experience for our television and online community.

Provides technical direction to all TV/Broadcast serving roles in order to capture a creative, engaging worship service that is audibly and visually pleasing to our television and online community.

Directly responsible for the color correction of all set monitors as well as the overall camera look and shading for all cameras during the worship service based on where the Technical Director guides in order to provide the best visually pleasing experience for our television and online community.

Efficiently operates our projection software for the broadcasting of our worship services to show lyrics, graphics, videos, sermon series, sermon notes, scriptures…etc. based on the guidance of the Technical Director in order to highlight key elements that provide clarity and better understanding to our television and online community.

Facilitates our worship service being broadcasted via live stream on our social media platforms for our television and online community.

Operates the cameras in the auditorium during all elements of the worship service based on where the Technical Director guides in order to capture the best visually pleasing content for our television and online community.

Next Step Teams

Front Door

The host helps create a welcoming and friendly environment so people can more easily connect. The host greets each attendee with a smile and ensures the environment is welcoming via with food, coffee, and room set-up.

Serve Opportunity: 3 Sundays a month at 9:30am

The Front Door Admin assist with all the administrative aspects of The Front Door. The admin ensures guests are checked-in as well as Next Steps cards are collected and put into the system for follow-up.

Redemptive Ministries

The group leader pours into and helps recovery attenders. They facilitate discussion and are intentional throughout the group to help people feel welcomed and heard.

The Praise Team leads worship for the Recovery ministry on Tuesday Nights.

The Prison Ministry Team visits those in the prisons. They work with the chaplains in conducting services and meeting various needs. The team interacts with residents to help them know they are loved by God and that Jesus has a plan for their life.

Groups Team

The way Group Leaders make a difference is by creating a small group environment where people can pursue authentic community and spiritual growth.

Baptism

The Baptism Coach oversees the Baptism area and ensures the Baptism assistant and check-in teams are good to go.

Helps check-in those getting baptized and ensures that a warm, welcoming, and celebratory environment exists in the Baptism area.

Baptismal workers assist baptismal candidates with their next step of baptism.  This team helps candidates with various things such as t-shirts, towels, and direction. Also, they help clean up the baptism area following baptism.

Men's and WOmen's Ministry Teams

There are various roles needed to help the Men’s & Women’s ministries thrive and are available based on needs and events, etc.

Support Teams

Church Events

The event planner helps to plan and execute church-wide and community events. They help with set up and tear down as well as any prep work that needs to be done.

Facilities Team

The Grounds team ensures the grounds are well kept and includes things such as lawncare in the summer and snow removal in the winter.

The housekeeping team ensures the building is clean, organized, and ready to receive guests.

Skilled workers are those who have training and abilities in specific tasks such as HVAC, Electric, and Construction.

Pastoral Care Team

The Hospital Visitation Team visits those in the hospital (Once COVID restrictions are lifted). Team members contact families of those in the hospital to check on them for any need that they may have. This team ensures everyone is loved and cared for throughout difficult times.

The Home Maintenance Team assists shut-ins with minor maintenance around their homes. Also, this team helps with occasional lawn care and snow removal. 

The Grandparents Ministry Team will help Grandparents share their faith with the grandkids. The team will work on developing activities to help facilitate relationships. Also, they will focus on teaching and encouraging and step in as “surrogate” grandparents where needed. 

This team goes to Prestige and Maple Springs Assisted Living Homes on Sundays to put on a church service for those who cannot come to church. This team is hoping to expand to other Assisted Living Homes as well. 

The funeral team assists families with funerals here at the church. The funeral team helps ensure families feel cared for through some of the hardest times a family can endure. Ushers help seat guests and the hospitality team helps the family set up and serve food at reception and along with other needs of the family.

Prop Team

The prop team exists to help capture and inspire people through the creation and building of props for experiences at the church.

Outreach Teams

Mission Team

There are various roles needed to help the Mission team from trip planning and coordination to serving on missions’ teams.
