About Ron and Crystal Hoffman
Pastor Ron moved to Alaska at the age of three and lived in various cities on the Kenai Peninsula before settling in Seldovia with his family. After losing both of his parents and other relatives within a short period of time, he moved to Anchorage at the age of fourteen. At that point, he attended Anchorage Christian Schools where he met Crystal, his future wife, for the first time. He graduated high school from Anchorage Christian in 1987 and college from Liberty University in 1991. While at Liberty, Pastor Ron and Crystal married. Upon graduation, they came back to Alaska to teach at Anchorage Christian and work at Mountain City Church. For 25 years, Pastor Ron worked in youth ministry. In 2015 he started Frontline, a community group for adults, and in May 2019, he became the lead pastor of Mountain City Church. Pastor Ron and Crystal have been married for 34 years. They have three adult children who are all serving the Lord in ministry with their spouses. The Hoffman’s are delighted to be grandparents to Easton, Klayton, Lilly, Hadley, Ryleigh, Molly, Hazel, Emberly, Kelly and Bennett.
I’m forever grateful for my story. God had a great plan, even in the loss, for my life, and He has a great plan for your life too! My prayer is that Mountain City Church would be a place where you feel welcomed, a place that God’s Word is boldly proclaimed, and a place that is encouraging and relevant in teaching for what you face every day. Mountain City Church is made up of people just like you, and we have something for everyone, regardless of your stage in life. We are blessed to have a great foundation that has been laid for our church. As we move into the future and build on that foundation, our goal is to develop Christ-centered world changers who make a BIG deal about following Jesus.
