What is the definition of the perfect family? I don’t want you to be offended; I want you to listen because, as Christians, our goal is to be holy like Christ.
The perfect family consists of a biological man and a biological woman. These two adults love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. They also love and respect one another and others as they would love themselves.
A perfect family produces children, within the union of marriage, who love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. They also love, respect, and honor their parents, siblings, and others as they love themselves. So, when we talk about the perfect family and the image in which Christ created the family, this is what it is.
I do not want you to be discouraged if this does not describe your family, as there is always hope and grace.
However, a society that holds to this definition of a perfect family, a society that grabs the definition and holds to it, will find the greatest prosperity. They will also find the greatest compassion, the greatest generosity, the greatest unity, and the greatest peace. This is the goal of the wise family.
Because God designed it that way. God’s design is never wrong. However, when we stop emphasizing that this is the best option and what we should celebrate, we start to find ourselves in chaos. You see, to the wise, this is obvious.
